Fullerville: On the Path to Helping Veterans

Fullerville is the brainchild of Kevin King, whose dream has been to establish a nonprofit organization to help homeless veterans get the services they have earned serving our country, by providing housing, transportation, and other assistance. The organization will initially be based in and service veterans in Sterling Heights, Michigan and the surrounding area.

In 2023, HUD reported that 35,574 veterans were experiencing homelessness, marking a 7% increase (2,445 more veterans) between 2022 and 2023.  In fact, according to the Homeless Management Information System, approximately 2,342 veterans experienced homelessness in Michigan in 2022. Those numbers are outrageous, considering what these men and women have sacrificed for our country.

Fullerville is a grassroots organization run by concerned citizens and professionals who have our Vets’ best interest at heart. Many of these men and women joined the military services dedicated to securing the safety and security of this great country.

When these brave men and women returned, many were suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), as well as cultural shock, finding it difficult to reenter society because they were crushed by loneliness and depression. As a society, we owe it to our great former personnel to help them obtain the assistance that they need.

We hope that you will contribute to our efforts by donating whatever you can.
